Sounds daft but getting a pan of boiling water and shoving some lumps of a few chopped up lemons in it, boiling it up and putting the steaming pan on a telephone directory in one of the footwells with all the windows closed and repeating it a few dozen times is wonderful at pulling smells out.

I have used wurth product alot to get rid of bad odours! called quick fresh...
It comes in a 100ml can you place it in the middle of the car with all the windows and doors shut , and if you have air con run the recirculation air mode but not the a/c its self then just set the can off and leave it in there for 10 minutes it works a treat!
