Hi All,

Looking for some recommendations of products to use on our white Mk1 MX5.

I already have at home the Megs Stage 1, 2 & 3 system (although it is starting to run out), I used to have the Megs claybar & spray but again this has run out.

I'd like to purchase a decent shampoo that lathers well along with a new clay bar/spray. Finally last but certainly not least i'm after an inexpensive but good quality wax which can be applied by hand/cloth.

I'm going to invest in a new bucket but should I get a mit as well?

Kind regards,
Phill

Bilt Hamber Autowash and Autoclay soft.
Zaino Z-2/Z-3 & ZFXdepending on whether the paint is singlestage or clearcoated/lacquered.
Zaino Z-6 QD

Alternatively, replace the Zaino with Duragloss - slightly cheaper, but opt for the Marine QD version
White and waxes tend not to do much together, but sealants make for a better look.
If you absolutely must have a wax, then Dodo Juice Diamond White or Supernatural v2

Chemical Guys Citrus wash and gloss as a shampoo.

Get a gritguard to go in both buckets!!

Get a decent waffleweave to dry the car and some Meguiars QD (Quick Detailer) to help dry the paintwork.

Clay I would go with Bilt Hamber, it works very well and needs water as a lube, not a QD or special spray.

Re a pre wax sealant I am still sold on Jetseal #109 and for a decent wax either Collinite 915 or if you want wetness and not lifespan something like Victoria Wax yellow.

www.cleanyourcar.co.uk or www.elitecarcare.co.uk will have most of what has been posted up here as recommendations, but there are plenty out there... just google!
