Hi all

I had to pick up a 56 plate gallardo spider from a customers house 2 weeks ago for a full detail....
The company who sold the car tried to book it in with me before it was delivered to the new customers house , but did not end up that way !!!
So i had to pick it up from the customer after it had some work on the engine at lamborghini!!
Now it has done 9000 miles so was expecting a very clean straight car but oh no!!!

Here are just a few pics and i have over 200 hundred of just the damage i found before working on the car

Smashed mirror and when i removed the door trim to remove the mirror to repair it found door trim had been removed before damaged and glued back together and the mirror itself seem to be second hand aswell due to the different colours under the paint!!!

Both door shuts where heavily scratched

The instrument deals where also badly scratched

Engine cover damaged from sanding and machine polishing incorrectly

Sides of car deep scratches

Front of car covered in damage from trying to remove bird poo, dead flies etc..

How does a car like this get into this condition so quickly with so few miles ????? furiousfurious

It looks like the car has been owned by complete tards.
When i was hunting for my Corrado i went to see one that had been given a good clean with a scouring brush so had scratches all over it! It looked awfull! Then the baboon who owned it had tried to wax it but had caked it in wax so there was dried white wax between the panel gaps and window sills, really good job that.

Oh yes its came out lovely in the end but took a solid 7 days to complete thou!!!

It had an aftermarket stereo fitting with reversing camera too !!
When i removed the rear honeycome grills i found that loads of screws missing and one rear light only had one screw holding it instead of 4 LOL!!

I am sure lots of the damage was done by the stereo company !!
Door panels broken but underneath was different speakers
Dash clocks removed to run alarm and stereo wires
rear bumper removed to fit camera!!

But gods knows why there is sanding DA marks on the engine cover , and the windscreen pillars had been burnt through the paint on both sides before a had started!!!

And i should of included the picture on the thread about hardest place to clean on a car !!

Think about trying to clean this engine compartment when this is the most access to the engine!!

So far all of the supercars i have worked on have generally been in a poor condition say comparied to the loved by the owner hot hatch!!!

You wonder how people with such a fund to buy cars with don't take th time to find out how to look after them properly eh!

Not going to hi-jack your own thread, but here is a pic of a similar condition, this only had 1500 miles on the clock!! The onwer has a business with a few vans so had used the same "hard brush on a stick" to clean the jeep as he had used on the vans:-

And Corrected:-

Ok its possible to salvage the paintwork and protect it, but have to agree 100% with you that mileage, age, type of car etc are not indicators of what your about to find!!!

As for the engine...............Good luck with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving your work as always!!!!!!

Keeps use in business laugh

When i dropped off the lambo to the customers house
Waited for electric gates to open pulled on the drive to be greated by
a New black range rover
black merc cls
black bentley speed gt
and 2 normal black family cars

I have never met the owner and after a phone call to say its ready he wanted me to drive to london bang in the middle of the city so he could show off too his friends!! Of course i said its would be too bigger a risk driving that through the middle of london on friday rush hour!!

It all made sense when i went to his house and was greated by a guy not really wareing suitable clothes and using a bucket and sponge cleaing the cars !! With no hose in sight!

The hover was ready for the tip and was loving him spraying the wheels of the merc with a strong alloy wheel cleaner which was going over the body work of the other cars!!
Then when he ran his own portable stereo over while trying too make space on the drive for the lambo it explained alot !!eekeek

Thats proberly why he was not in a sign writen van or branded clothing!!!

Superb transformation Kelly - I presume you had to blow in the A-pillars then?
I can only imagine the look of disgust and horror on your face, when you saw the chauffeur/butler 'cleaning' the other vehicles owned.
By the sounds of it, looks like you'll be getting a number of regular bookings from this customer in the not too distant future. laugh

Yes had to paint mirror and pillars

You would think i would get his over cars in the future but i am not sure that will be the case!!!

The car came to me from the prevous seller/private dealer who knows what i can do to car and have used me before to prep the bentley on my website ready for delivery to the new customer!!

I had many phone calls with the new owner of the lambo over his car while it was with me , the subject always ended up on "i am not paying for this am i the seller is " every phone call

When i contacted the seller to say the mirror is smashed, the wheels scuffed ,and damage because of the stereo fitment(and i had seen the car before the new owner took delivery)
To discuss the owner wants the repairs done too of course they said no only a full detail!!

I blcensoreddy ended up fixing it all anyway as there is no way i was putting my name to a half finished car like that!!!

And i sent loads of before and after photos to both old and new owner and explaining all the other things i fixed free of charge

I have never even had a thank you on the phone or email
This is after the new owner saying i have dozens of other customers lined up for you make sure you look after my car laughlaughlaugh

I have heard that so many time from customers saying i will get you sooo much work just make sure you do a good job of my car !!!

I am getting around 4 emails a day and 3-4 phone calls asking me things like what wax is that on your cars to make them look like that and bead like that!!
I spend so long explaining it can take 2-5 days to get the results like i do and how much money on prodcuts is used on each detail etc,
then is followed by so what wax is it then furiousfuriousfuriousfurious

You other detailers must get this too

The other one is can you detail me can for £??? as my friends friend does it for a hobby in his spare time!It ends up "i want a finish like you achieve for £??? " NO

Still rant over keep on Detailing

Ah, but you should have just walked away, rather than be played as a mug.
Personally, I would've done just what was being paid for - and left it to the new owner to discuss with the seller what was being done about the wing mirror and A-pillar paint, and kerbed alloys.
You got yourself in the middle, and ultimately got played, unfortunately.
I hope you catch the pair of them in the long grass, as the saying goes.

Lovely transformation mate, it's no surprise to me the shocking state it was in originally.

Had a client with a Gallardo in the same colour, wouldn't or wasn't interested in a maintenance plan, after correcting the car twice and various enhancement details, I drew the line and refused to do it anymore, as he would take it down the Bosovans for a wash in between calling me out to fix.

Seriously though those pictures don't show the half of it. When i saw the car i was shocked how somebody can treat such a motor.

When you have so much money you don't know what to do with i suppose you couldn't care less.

Chin up mate fkum and move on. That car i would say is a testament to your abilities. Whack the price up when he comes back with it buggered again. winkbiggrin

Thanks

Should not say this as i do not want to offend some people !!,
but the owners with more money seem to be a bit like that !
Every time i talked to the customer on the phone about his car he would just hang up before a had chance to say goodbye mad

I put my heart and soul into what i do only for someone too keep hanging up on you.....
My office girl tried to speak to him on the phone and after 1 call told me she is not talking to him anymore..
Funny thing is the night before delivery i sent him loads of emails of pics and videos , guess what next morning he rang me and was the nicest person you could talk too stayed on the phone for along time begging me to deliver it to his work!! So it was all set for 4pm at his work. So i said yes but on the way decided to take it too his house instead after being so rude and guess what got to his house rang him to say i am here he answered"i can not see you" how gutted was he when i said can you get your wife to open the gates !biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Spot on clap]

First person too notice they were blcensoreddy loud on the move!

When he brought the car and when i first viewed it had split rims on (Black and did look the nuts)which the new owner did not like so he got the orignal wheels and tyres!
Mud and snow tyres are much cheaper than correct tyres laughlaughlaugh
