Paint Fade

Looking to paint the race car again ready for next year.

Lat year though for about a month after i sprayed it it looked great. However after a couple of test days etc it had reall faded/sunk. Went from a nice shinny yellow to dull looking yellow.

What do i need to do this time round to make it better>

Hard to say what the cause was of the paintwork fading - could've been poor washing technique, so it was a mass of swirls, or it may have been a poor job done, with cheap (poor anti-UV properties) clearcoat or paint, if a singlestage.
Maybe all it needs is a really good polishing and protection, which will be a lot cheaper than a full respray, unless you fancy a colour change.

Mike, all you've got to do is wash it every now and then mate

That was one of the problems thoug. Dirt and grease seemed to stain the paint rather than comming off when we cleaned it.

Maybe it was a paint quality issue?

i've heard of this described as drop back. something to do with the amount of drying time.
