I’ve got a 2005 Impreza WRX SL with PPP that will soon need two new tyres, and since there is a slight bit of scuffing on the alloys I’m considering having them re-furbed/re-painted and rebalanced at the same time.

So . . . any recommendations as to best place to get wheels and tyres done in one go? (Preferably South of England!).

Car is silver and wheels are silver-beige – classy but not much visual impact. What colour wheels to go for that will improve the looks but not damage the re-sale value of the car . . . Gold? Bronze? Black? WRX blue?????

All suggestions welcome! Thanks

whilst having my car detailed, opposite his unit is Lepsons. So I thought as I was having the paint correction done I might as well get my wheels refurbished and colour changed. I went for a colour called 'Black chrome' (I think), it is a mental colour which changes colours when the sun hits them. Lepsons will also be able to sort you out with some new tyres as well. If you do get them done at Lepsons, pop over to KDS (where I had my car detailed) and he will be able to wax and seal your lovely new wheels.

As jason said lepsons can refurb your wheels in any colour you wish and you can even supply your own paint if you want !!

Lepsons open a new unit on the same estate yesterday just supplying and fitting tyres now !!

So they can now offer wheel refurb and tyres for all makes and models !!

The main reason for opening the tyre unit is because of the amount off damaged wheels they see for other tyre fitting companys!!

Maybe try photo shop package or something like it to play with the colour of the wheels !!

I will try and post silver cars with different colour wheels so you can have a look !! wink

Thanks - I'll get a quote.

Want to crisp the car up a bit but not sink a fortune into it as I reckon I'll be trading up to a 350Z next year (they're getting cheaper faster than I'm getting poorer).

Hi Octoposse,

I have exactly the same car in blue & I believe the colour of the wheels is called 'Anthracite'

I actually really like the colour, think it gives the car a bit more of a classy look over the usual silver alloys.

If i was you i'd stick with the standard colour if you want the best re-sale value, and if your thinking of trading up to a 350z soon, it doesn't matter if you like them or not anyway.

P.S.- Have thought about selling mine, but am very nervous i will never find another car i like as much.
