ive been doing touch ups, alloys and small bits for years with rattle cans and get superb results.

i now have access to a compressor thats up to the job and all the kit to paint but i want my own gun. i will only use it for things like wheels, skirts and at the most bumpers. i wont be doing full panels.

i have the air lines and filtration to stop the oil out of the compressors etc so i wanted to spend around £30 - £40 on a gun. it only has to be basic as i might decide its not worth the hassle getting the paint mixed, setting up the compressor etc so dont want to spend anymore.

any links on ebay would be great as ive money in my paypal burning a hole in my pocket

cheers in advance

try something like this to begin with

Not sure where in the North West you are, but if your anywhere near Birkenhead you may want to have a chat with Tom at T.D.Distribution, plenty of good advice on the best way's of doing spot repairs and touch ups including starter kits for Water Based paints (about 10-15% more cost but far easier to use, no more washing out with thinners, just flush and clean the gun out with water!) including the latest water based lacquer

For small stuff and touch ups I've got a Devilbiss SRI, it's got a 1.0 aircap/needle setup and works perfectly (as it should for over £200!)

If your thinking of spraying at home would suggest that you look into Water based paints and lacquers they take a little longer to dry and are a bit more expensive (base is around the same price e.g. £40 per l, lacquer inc activator is around the same instead of about £25l)but if your doing small amounts are soooooo much easier to use and clean up afterwards............and it's a lot better for your lungs smile
