I have read a thread on here recently regarding a detailer who is being taken to court
due to a detail.

I am looking for some recommendations for a West London based detailer for my Aston, does anyone know any, with
personal recommendations???

Thanks in advance.

Please don't tar all detailers with the same brush. there are many detailers out there that you could happily leave your car with for a week to have it detailed and no harm would come to it.

Sometimes to get the best possible work you need to leave it with them / us for several days. Would you think twice about having mechanical corrective work done where you have to leave it with a reputable garage for a period of time? All i would say is do a little research on the company if you are that worried.

Research is exactly what this tread is about, hence me asking for a personal recommendation!
I would quite happily leave my car with someone providing they give me a level of professionalism i would expect from 1st meeting them and seeing a portfolio of their works.

Now this could just coincidence but after reading the link above to the deatiler in the south east problem , this all makes sense to me now as on monday a new customer travelled some distance to show me his P&J and booked in for detail ( 2 cars ) .

I had a phone call from the customer days later asking "do i drive the car any distance ?" of course i answered NO . He then said something about driving any distance to take photo's ...

Today he cancelled .

These sort of threads Harm the innocent company's more than the party involved, unless they are named..IMHO yes

Guys, i would love the company named too, as then i can stay away from them with a barge pole!!!
From my side i do not want to give my car to anyone to f*** up, hence asking for some personal views from people.
Sorry if this tread has run away from the original point in question.

Im Based just north of London and would be more than happy to take a look at your vehicle for detailing work, (plenty of happy clients that can vouch for me on here)

And im not in the game of driving clients cars full stop so there would be no problem there at all.

Here is a recent thread of recomendation

Hear, hear.

An isolated and unusual ALLEGATION on Pistonheads (taking someone to court, if indeed that is happening or not, is not the same as someone being found guilty of a midemeanour by a court - if they are innocent they may have been unjustly denigrated on the forum), should not affect the business of the majority of professional detailers on this website.

If you are concerned, speak to the detailer themselves and ask what their usage of the car is likely to be, if at all. You could even ask them directly whether they were the subject of a thread recently and if they did not give a truthful answer, they are likely to be misrepresenting themselves to you (not good contractually).
