First Time Clay
Discussion
Used Meguiars Quik Clay today and am over the moon with the results. No photo's I am afraid but just wanted to share my joy lol.
Washed the car with Meguiars Gold class shampoo, leathered it all off twice with clean water (just to be sure) and then clayed it. It looked fabulous at this stage (apart from the heavily stone chipped areas). Then I used the Gold Class polish and wax to finish off with. As I say, first time I've done this and very pleased with the results. Used it on the windows as well after reading on here somewhere that it was ok and it really cleaned them up a treat.
One question, is it possible to use too much of the Quik Detailer stuff?
Just need to get the car resprayed so that it all looks as good.

No, the more quick detailer the better whilst claying... it's used as a clay lube.
Claying is very beneficial and even works a treat on glass, removing what glass polish can't.
However, you haven't protected the paintwork at all by doing the claying and quick detailing, so add some protection to it now it's clean (wax, sealant etc.)

Gave it a good polish with the Gold class wax afterwards, it's midnight blue and came up like a deep black mirror, lovely.
