hi guys just got my new tvr that had been involved in a bump 7 years ago. basically it had a new front nose put on at webbs autos.
where the the new pannel was fitted (joint in wing at middle of wheel arch) there has apeared over time a mark like paint sinkage all the way down the join. is this normal? can it be repaired easily? and if i do have to have it repainted is it likley to come back?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Chris

hi chris if the sinkage is just in the clear coat you might just get away with flating and polishing but if you can see the sinkage in the base coat beneath it will need to be reprepped and repainted just a quick guide, you dont really know until you remove the top coat to see how it was repaired hope this helps

cheers for the help, with the aid of some 1500 wet/dry a nibber, finesse it polish and a good bit of elbow grease the mark now is just about gone, in fact you really have to look close and hard to see it
