Uh oh, PH spelling police!!!

Bare is actually the correct spelling. It means a small amount of scratching in this context, although there is probably a better way to communicate it.

Anyway, you can get rid of them with a Dual Action machine like a Porter Cable or Meguiars G220 (similar but made for the mass market and therefore a tad less robust). These are random orbital polishers. Or you can go for a rotary polisher, like most of the pros use. These cost from 30 GBP upwards, with the Silverline or Kestrel being cheap beginners' machines.

You'll need a backing plate, pad and compound as well. What type depends on your paint type as it is like recommending sandpaper for sanding a chair - 'it depends'. You don't want too much cut with minor swirls, so maybe try a finishing pad with a mild compound like Menzerna 106FA Final Finish in the first instance. A polishing pad with Menzerna 3.02 Intensive Polish would give more cut - but maybe too much - and respraying paintwork is expensive if you burn through.

Oh st, that's me told redface

OK, lots of swirls, go for the polishing pad and Menz 3.02 unless on very soft paint.

I'm off to read urbandictionary.com and hang out with da homies at Maccy D's, innit. I'm just not street enuff. wink
