As above... Is this stuff any good? (note to self.....Must stop asking "is this stuff any good!")

I use autoglym shampoo and super resin polish and the extra gloss stuff looks good.... Or do i need just a good wax (suggestions bellow would be ace!)

SRP is an OK product but will not give you the look of a decent Carnuba wax, nor the same protection.

What colour is your car and how deep are your pockets re wax....prices range from mid teens upto thousands if you really want to go mad!

Colour of your car and how you prepare the surface are the keys to getting the best from a wax.

Colour is hard to describe, sort of gold with silver bits (have a look at my profile, there is a picture there)
As for how much to spend.....I have roughly 30-50 ish?

I would consider the following manufacturers. Dodo Juice Banana Armour and some Lime Prime (Lite). great product and wonderful value for money.

Collinite 915 for its protection.

Up to the next price level and look at the Swissvax range. Onyx is a pretty good all round wax.

At the top end of your price range is Zymol carbon...wonderful if the car is proprely prepared.

Not yet used the Autoglym Hi Def wax but from reports it cuts the mustard.

Not necessarily - the SRP has abrasives, which can knock out light swirls by hand. The AB has chemical cleaners, so will probably remove the fillers and any debris left behind after buffing the SRP, and lay its own fillers in the micro-pores and voids of the paintwork.

If you need advice on using the AB, just pipe up here.

Cool, so the SRP I have is ok to use, is the Autoglym Extra gloss protection no use once I have the AB?

Any tips on using the AB would be ace

EGP is AG's sealant, to lock in the fillers of the SRP.
Putting it under the AB serves no purpose as AB contains more filling than SRP, and lasts longer than EGP does.
So, maybe use the EGP for the wheels, once fully cleaned, or give it to someone who can/will make use of it.
If, when you get the AB, read the instructions supplied, and if unsure of anything, just ask.
