Leather seat repairs...??
Discussion
I have a 330Ci with leather Sports seats, but as it's a leggy beast there is some wear on the driver's street-side shoulder, and it looks like the stitching at that point is about to go. Nothing serious yet, but if I don't do something about it I reckon it'll only get worse.
I'm wondering if anyone has attempted a DIY leather stitching repair, or perhaps this topic has surfaced before. Any tips, etc., much appreciated.
The slightly worn part has responded well to some RM Williams Saddle Dressing (that I have for my RMW boots), which I reckon has invigorated the rather dried out leather, but there's still a grey-ness showing and I wanted to try to darken that down somehow. Don't want to risk boot polish for obvious reasons, but there must be something out there which will do the trick.
Ordinarily I like worn leather - boots, jackets, dominatrix
- but as it's uneven I'd rather attempt a restore.
Thanks,
John

I used some stuff called Dynamix which is painted onto the leather. When ordering the correct colour code has to be provided. It worked well although I didn't use it on a large area, just to small scuffs. Don't know if I'd tackle the stitching - I think I'd leave that to someone who is an expert.
