I seem to remember a topic on here a few months back - but can't find it now, about an American product whereby you send them your paint code, they send you a pot of paint, but the process of applying it is different from a touch-up stick - you paint a wider area then rub it down???
Ring any bells with anyone?

http://www.drcolorchip.com/ - brilliant stuff - works much better than touch up. I've used it on stone chips on my 996 and it is difficult to see where it has been used. It cures over a few days to leave a very good finish and it's relatively easy to use. Down side is it's a USA product and the cost to send is quite high but IMO worth the cost.
I've used Dr Colour-Chip on the Exige. It got a good result (flat navy blue).
A couple of caveats though - as with any wipe on, buff-off product, results on pale metallics and pearls can be pretty poor. This is just a feature of the physics of reflection and the high sparkle content of the chipped finish.
It's very high in VOC solvents - so much so that it's actually illegal to bring it to market into an EU country. Getting it over from the US now that the EU paint & products directive is now law could run you into legal trouble.

How would I know that? (not that ignorance is a defence) - but I guess the biggest risk is that Customs and Excise might intercept it rather than I get done for importing substances for my personal use.But presumably the key point is "bring it to market" - that clearly wouldn't be my intent.
I doubt you'd actually end up in hot water yourself, but yes, HMRC might intercept your package for you, and I doubt you'd see a refund if that happened. And it'd still be illegal for the US distributor to ship it to you, so they may not be keen (if they pay attention to things like the law of countries they ship to - which being in the US, they may well not
).
