Chaps,

What's a good product to use on the wheels to make cleaning easier? ie something to stop the brake dust sticking.

My favourite is Poorboys Wheel Sealant. It's about £10 - £12 a tub depending on where you buy it from. There are others out there such as Rimwax and I'm pretty sure Swissvax do one, but I've always been happy with the Poorboys.

ETA - pretty sure Zaino also produce one.

I think posts like this do help. Just back up why you think it's poor.

That said I guess I should back up why I like the Poorboys. It's easy to apply and remove plus it lasts ages. Also brings out a nice fleck in the finish if it's there but doesn't make wheels too shiny.

I've only used Poorboys and can say that it is great stuff. I gave the wheels 3 coats as recommended and the sight of a jetwash gets all that dirt disappearing. No nasty wheel chemicals and if it needs a hand to clean an occaisional spot, then a little brush with carwash and its gone.

As already mentioned the Poorboys stuff is very good, as is the Chemical Guys Wheel Guard which is my preference as I find it easier to apply and buff off.cool

Blimey that must be easy to use as I find the PB wheel sealant one of the easiest protection products to use. Tempted to give it a go when i run out of the PB.

Another vote for chemical guys here - my wheels get truly scruffy in between washes, and they always come up perfect.

My vote goes to Finish Kare 1000p. Better durability than your dedicated wheel sealants, infact my wheels have never looked glossier (even my completely anti car cleaning neighbour commented on the fact!).

You get a massive tub for your money and you can use it on the body work too.

Are these wheel sealants ok on raw alloy?
