I'm thought that with the documentation (now lost) that came with Zymol wax it says do it panel by panel and do not allow the wax to dry on the car. But I seem to also recall seeing photos on some detailing threads of cars with wax applied all over and being allowed to 'cure' before being buffed back to get the shine. Is this right? What is the best approach? When I've done it in the past I've let it sit for a couple of minutes and then gone over with the microfibre cloth, but I felt that I was just taking off most of the wax I'd just lovingly applied by hand.

Secondly, how long will Titanium wax keep for in the fridge? It's about four years - still good to go?

A good wax will take time to cure, just spread on thinly. are you keeping the car insode after waxing, if so 8-10 hours is more than enough time to get the best out of the wax.

Not sure about the lifespan but don't see what after 4 years it should not do the job.

Do you have to keep it in the fridge? Mine has been in the cupboard for 4 years.

Someone told me to keep it cool, and since I have a beer fridge in the garage it seemed like the obvious place to put it!

As long as you apply the wax thinly enough there's no reason why you can't do the whole car, leave it to cure for hours and then buff off. I know Polished Bliss up in Ayrshire leave some waxes on overnight before buffing off.

The problems come when the wax is "caked" on and left for ages. Dispite what the instructions say about apply with your bare hands and massaging the wax into the paint, I always use a good quality foam pad to apply waxes when they are to be left to cure for more than an hour. This way you're sure to get a nice thin even layer.

I've got a couple of tubs of Zymol waxes that I've had for about 3 years and they still work fine. Never had them in the fridge either. The cold of the shed seems to do the trick.
