By BRM has had many stone chips in the past and previous owners have touched in the chips with one of those little paint pots. No corrosion but lots of spots on the bonnet and front wings. Can one of the expert detailers tell me if you can polish these out (and the swirls!) or am I looking at a respray?
Pics?
Swirls can be removed easily if there's sufficient paint left from previous buffs, but the touch-up blobs will only be reduced in height, rather than blended in to the paintwork better.
Might see a slight improvement there, but it'll be more down to them being the correct shade for a start, and if metallic, then little chance of having the flakes line up like they are on the untouched factory deposited areas.
If it's really bad looking, then respray is really the only option to homogeny.

Shade is very good match, and it's not metallic! I would have a go myself but can't see how I can just polish down the "blobs" without taking down the rest of the paintwork around it. How about a Dremmel with a polisher and very low speed?Swirls can be removed easily if there's sufficient paint left from previous buffs, but the touch-up blobs will only be reduced in height, rather than blended in to the paintwork better.

I'll try and post some pictures later!
