I am going to be using the following products to clean my car, can someone reccomend a sealant to use (not come up with anything conclusive from searching this forum).

Meguiars gold class shampoo
Dodo Juice light fantastic wax

Also should I use something like Dodo Juice Lime Prime after washing / pre waxing?

My two would be Klasse AIO now known as Carlack or Chemical Guys Jetseal 109!

Bilt Hamber make a great product too in their Auto Balm.

LP is a light abrasive like AG SRP, but designed for waxes since it has some glazing oils.
If you were to use it prior to a sealant base layer, then you'd need to wipe the paintwork down with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) or Panel Wipe first.

Not sure why you want a sealant other than you think that's the way it should be done, if doing it right - it's not!
If you need to remove some swirls/light scratches, then LP by hand or machine is useful depending on paint hardness, but if just looking to add a touch more depth wetness, the LP Lite is a better choice.
Apply on bare paintwork prior to waxing, and if you still think you need another process to do, then DJ Red Mist every other wash is one to consider.

Thanks, so for a new car with no swirls (as yet!) should I just shampoo then straight to a wax and leave it at that?

Feel the paint whilst wet after rinsing with clingfilm over your 'tips - any lumpiness, get the clay bar out.
You can use LP Lite if you have it or get it, after drying the car - if it's a darker colour, it should add a bit more depth to the looks.

A sealant will add protection to the bare paintwork and help in sunsequent washes to lift dirt. The wax is a more sacrificial layer and will last no more than 8 weeks. A decent product like Jetseal 109 will last for upto six months and works very well on wheels and any exposed metals or painted surfaces.
