Removing dead things
Discussion
After 2,500 wonderful miles hooning through a hot Italy, the front of my car is covered in dead things. I say "things" as I don't know what they are - I mean, what sort of creature is full of yellow goo? I remember seeing a film with Sigourney Weaver in that had animals full of a similar substance, maybe that's it?
Anyway, I've washed the car 3 times, but can't get all of it off.
Any tips would be most welcome!
Thanks
Ben

Just had the same problem on my audi, had loads of dead flys that even the old kitchen towel method didn't shift and thats a first, went and got my clay bar, 5 mins later looking as new.
Of course, with the clay bar, came the wax/sealant - did you reapply it when done?Bear with me on this but the best thing i've ever used is Autoglym interior shampoo.
I really can't remember where I first heard about it for this application but I have a feeling it may have been at an Autoglym open day many many years ago but basically spray over all the dead bugs with this stuff before you start to wash the car. Then when you do wash they simply just fall off.
Very impressed and easy to do as well

I thought so. Just the rear apron and sills to go! I have to say though I've not tried anything else, thr Bilt Hamber Auto Clay is working great and I've ditched the spray bottle in favour of the mist setting on the cheap aldi hose fitting which is a lot less hassle - must be a big saving being able to use water too! It's funny how you can get obsessed removing a stubborn tiny mark (and a bit sad I guess)
Actually this stuff is amazing for loads of different stuff even the house, (showing my OCD here) Anyone know if you can buy in bulk?
I guess its pretty much what is in the insect remover sprays, just maybe a bit milder?
