hi,everybody. i'm new here. just bought a 89 16v in white. the underneath of the car is not bad so i'd like keep the condition as long as i can.
here is the question.
1, what's the differnence between "wax oil" and "underseal" apart from the name.
2, i'd like to do it myself, but never done it before. anywhere i can find a step by step instructions?
3, what's the best or fairly good brand i should go for and what equipment should i choose.

thanks very much for looking, i wish all the viewers car will never rust....

Cant tell you how to do it or what one is best but my meccy friend who does mine says he would never underseal a car and always wax oil it. He says the oil allows you to work on it in the future. Sealants can crack and allow damp into the chassis where you wont see it till the floor falls off. It can also take days to get off if you need to restore or work on the car.

Speak to Bilt Hamber, and ask about their Dynax UB (it's not on the website) and Ferrosol - they'll advise on how to do it, where to put it, etc.

Seconded, you really cannot go wrong with Bilt Hamber, I own nearly every product they sell and they really work.

Another vote for BH the Dynax UB is the one you want for under the car, comes in a 1 ltr tin and just brushes on. Can be thinned and sprayed but brush gives a better cover. The wax spray product they do is superb and comes with the best nozzle attachment on the market. Great for getting in to cavities/box sections.
Neither products need a compressor which is a bonus too.
