Applying decals

Whats the best way to apply decals i've seen a couple of ways but wondered which was the easiest?

There are some excellent tutorials on Youtube.

We use the magnets, application tape and squeegee method.

I used to use washing up liquid with loads of water on the car, the decal
should float on that (so you can position it) until the water dries
