Before i get round to painting my little Renault 5 i decided to put fresh stonechip on the sills,that went great.Then decided to do the rear apron of the car,it started sliding down at a lot of places??Why?

No,you're not the only one!I don't understand a word of it either!I think he means he has painted his sills with stonechip and that went fine i think.Then when he put stone chip on the rear apron of the car,it didn't adhere to the surface and slid off!If i get his drift?Honestly,you think some people were devoid of any sort of formal education whatsoever,they come on here with their illiterate ramblings,tales of applying products to their pride and joys and what not and they just fail quite substantially to make any sense whatsoever! rolleyes

I'd have to have a punt at some form of surface contamination.

Guessing you did but worth checking you cleaned and degreased everything before applying - you will get a lot more oil and muck coating the lower rear than the sills, due to the low pressure area behind the vehicle when moving.
