I'd recommend this bodyshop/repairer in Camberley
Discussion
I've sometimes had occasion to ask for a recommendation for a bodyshop. Usually found it quite hard to find somewhere. After my wife's new car was hit recently I was recommened a place by an insurance assessor friend of a friend. We had the car repaired at St Georges Coachworks in Camberley.
The place is a full body repair and paint shop with all the kit (own etc). Owned by a guy called Tracy (I'm sure he's heard thenm all before). It was refreshing that we dealt with him when getting the original estimate and he was always around when we had any queries.
The standard of the repair was great. It needed a complete new door which meant stripping out all the other door parts and refitting to the new door as well as painting and repairs to scratches on other panels and lacquer blended in.
I've inspected very carefully having had an absolute nightmare on a repair a couple of years ago. Not so much as a tiny nib. The colour match is good and I could not tell that the parts had been moved across from one door to the other (as I had to refit speakers, I got to see behind the door card and inspect closely - I expected to see some damaged plastic clips, scratches or whatever . Not a bit of it). They also repaired a minor scuff to an alloy and did a great job on that too.
I have no connection with this business (the repair was an insurance claim against the 3rd party), but just wanted to pass on because they were recommended to me by someone who knows and I found them to be great. Thought it might help someone if you're unlucky enought to need a repairer.
