Hi everyone. I need a few cleaning products for me car, it's a Skoda Octavia in Black Magic pearl. I want a decent tyre product and some sort of polish and wax. Oh and a decent leather conditioner/ cleaner.
No need for leather conditioner - they don't feed typical modern leather as claimed. For your leather cleaning and protection, use LTT Solutions.
Regarding wax - what budget are you working to? There's many a wax available from £12 to £8K, excluding the very limited £30K version from the same manufacturer.
When you say polish, you're looking to manually use to remove light scratches and swirls from the paintwork?
The most common and widely available is Autoglym's SRP, and on an equal footing, there's Dodo Juice Lime Prime, but both are quite a bit shy of the type of polishes I and others would use with a rotary/random orbital machine polisher, but they can still be used by hand.
You'd also be wise to add a clay bar to the list, as no-one should be without one, even if only needed 2 times a year. In that instance, you'll want the Bilt Hamber Auto-clay (soft version, for this time of year), which only requires water to lubricate the clay and paintwork surface rather than a more costly quick detailer.
Speaking of which, that's something else you should have in your inventory - and for that you could go with the widely used and available Meguiar's Last Touch, or Dodo's Time To Dry (diluted to 50%).
You don't need to be a detailer to make the best of your car.
Next time you wash the car, while it's wet, run your fingers over it with a bit of clingfilm.....I'll bet you it feels rough and gritty.
You'd be surprised just how much difference a clay bar can do on its own to the looks, just by removing that embedded contamination.
As for a wax - yes/no. SRP has fillers to mask some of the scratches, but doesn't last any length of time, nor offer any real protection to the paintwork. So a good wax or sealant to protect the paint, and keep the fillers in place would be worthwhile having.
Any of the Dodo Juice waxes, Bilt Hamber Auto-balm (filler heavy sealant), Optimum OptiSeal are worth the spend over AG EGP or UPP.

I agree with PJS.
Highly recommend Megs Last Touch. For wax I've been using Megs #16 with (IMHO) some great results. About £12 from Tim at www.cleanyourcar.co.uk
Once you try a claybar you will be really surprised at the results and will keep using them.
Polish wise I've not tried SRP but have used Sonus products (by hand) and Menzerna by machine with great results. Dodo Lime Prime is a very nice product to use as well.
