Im taking my evo wheels to be refurbed again on wednesday and was looking for some advice. i had them refurbed about 2 years ago (3000 miles ago) and even though ive hardly used the car, they starting to look a bit less bright white and slighlty pitted in the corners of the spokes.

My question is, how long after having them refurbed must i leave it before sealing them? Whats the best product to use to keep them looking bright white? i used supaguards supawheels last time and still have some left.

cheers

Are they being powdercoated or painted?

I would seal the wheels as soon as I get them back from being refurbished. Hopefully they refurbishers have fully allowed the paint to cure.

Best sealants include Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109, Carlack and Poorboys EX-P.

Then you need to double wax each wheel with possibly a five or six hour delay between each layer. Best wheel waxes which need replacing every six weeks or so include Chemical Guys Wheel Guard, Poorboys Wheel sealant and Swissvax Autobahn Wheel wax. One new player is Nanolex who make some interesting products too.

No, it is the same as any decent wheel wax, just with a different name! Do two coats, clean as usual but top up every month.

recieved the poorboys wheel sealant today. May sound a stupid question, but since my wheels are white and the sealant is pink, it wont give my wheels a slight pink tinge will it?

No when rubbed in it goes colourless. Don't worry about the colour of the paste.

cheers for that. Ive got them back today, and they look amazing. way better than last time. I were gonna leave them in the warm house til friday, then seal them and fit them to car on saturday. Car wont be used until ages away anyway.

Question- do i seal them before i apply my little ralliart stickers or after?
