had good results with t-cut on glass in the past. taken scratches out of my head unit glass screen with it and bought some tinted windows from a scrap yard and the t-cut brought it up lovely. a chap that was walking past who worked in car sales actually asked me what i had used on the glass as it was so clean

I think Jewellers Rouge or something similar has been recommended before for polishing glass

Hi Ally... Car is away at the moment, but will be back around the end of January.

Steve, the polycarbonate covers to light units can be polished using a 'standard' bodyshop 'mop', ie rotary machine polisher, foam or wool polishing pad and a medium cut compound like Menzerna 3.02 IP. You won't need anything as aggressive as a glass polish and very heavy cut compounds may actually scratch it more and make it worse. Any detailer in your area (and there are a few in Scotland) should be able to sort in a few minutes - maybe give them a spin in the car when it's back.
