I know very little about detailing.

My little kit car is to appear at the Pistonheads show next month amongst the proper Supercars and stuff.

She's a bit tatty around the edges and I'd like to have her looking her very best when she's sat surrounded by cars costing upto twenty times what she's worth.

smile

So, I'm looking for someone to do a proper paintwork clean on the car. I'm not interested on having the interior done as she's a stripped out racing machine.

Can anyone recommend me a company that can do a good job of bringing the paintwork up to scratch? The car was resprayed only two years ago and so isn't too shabby.

Although the car is garaged, the garage isn't big enough for anyone to clean the car so, that may be a problem this time of year.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Having just looked at your profile I really would urge you to speak to Kelly - he also happens to have a background in old Lancias. I'll be at the show and will look out for your car, it looks bloody awesome!

Thanks.

The further away you are, the better she looks.

hehe

Kelly. The photos are great. But, Gillingham is a bit too far away from me here in Barnet. I've been directed to somewhere closer. However, if that is not suitable, I may get in contact.

Thanks for posting your photos here.

If Kelly Is too far we are bassed in Ware (the other side of Hertford) about a 20-30 min drive from Barnet.

Drop me an email at info@autofinesse.co.uk if its any interest to you.

Note to self - I must not arrange to met up with Kelly at another PH event. He keeps getting dragged away by people who want to talk him about their cars.blabla

I'm not far from Barnet, and would like my Maserati done in the spring. Nice website (although the video has a typo in the title sequence smile )

FWIW I do North Kent to Barnet every week, and it takes less than an hour. If it comes to it I'd be happy to give a PH'er a lift. thumbup

Thank you for your kind offer, Jaykaybi.

In all seriousness, your post is what PH is all about.

Hi Blib,

I have to second about kelly at kds keltec

Thats my bentley in the pics, and int he flesh it looks even better. The paintwork previous was shocking as well.

He has also just completed a thorough detail of my murcielago aas well. I wont let anybody else touch my cars.

I mean no dis-respect to other detailers, but for me its worth the journey (im about 50mins away from kelly).

Kelly is ontop of a train station, and its easy to get back to barnet.

Paul

ps - Kelly can yo post pics of the lambo detail when you have time as im so proud of what youve done

+1

I totally agree with Jaykaybi. I will be well worth the travelling, and like mentioned earlier, he is the master with Lancia's. Below is a link to pics of two of Kelly's Lancia's......

I've spoken to James at Auto Finesse and my little kit car is going to be cleaned to within an inch of her life on 11th January.

Thanks to everyone who contributed and made suggestions. You'll get a chance to see the finished article @ the PH show.

Sure, why not!

Not the interior though. No detailer on Earth could make that look anything other than 'well lived in'.

hehe
