Stone chipping

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the stone chips they put down on the roads. The idiots who think this is a good idea had done my road about a month ago and even tho i drive at 10 mph and really look after my car my front end is covered in chips. Im now going to have a front end re spray but in talks with the council. Has anyone else had anything like this.
