I can't quite work out what the difference is between an orbital/rotary/dual action poilisher ?!

I'm sure at least 2 are the same but one must be diffferent !!

Rotary is as the name alludes to, one which spins on a fixed point.
DA is the Americanism used to describe an RO (random orbital), which spins in an eliptical manner.
Then there's the dual-head Cyclo which is counter-rotating DA's resulting in an action mimmicking overlapping hand polishing.
And to slightly compound things further, you have the likes of the Flex VRG 3401, I think that's the numbers, which is a forced RO - essentially a DA/RO with a set of balls, which comes in handy to the rather mild typical DA's.
