How much paint...
Discussion
Sorry, I should have been clearer - are you just recoating a bumper the same colour as it already it? That takes less paint than if the bumper is a replacement but the wrong colour, or if it is primered, what tone of primer.
Presumably there's a problem with the existing finish or you wouldn't be repainting it? How much paint it needs will depend on how much filler or exposed substrate there is once you've finished sorting the problem areas, and if and how you prime it.
If you have to paint right to the edges of the panel, depending on match precision and variant shade, you may have to fade into adjoining panels as well...
Sorry that I'm responding with more questions rather than just giving you a volume, but it's really not as simple as 1x bumper = X of a litre.

Thanks for you help, i think i should have explained more too.
the bonnet is already, badly, painted in the correct shade. So i was hoping to sand it down smooth and respray it. No filler or primer. Just recoating.
The bumper is primed. As for tone the best I can offer is a mid grey. Same sort of colour as navy ships. Again there is no filler but spraying the whole bumper.
cheers.
