As per the thread title, which wax would you recommend for a Midnight Blue (Mettalic) Boxster?

No more than £40. Also which supplier would you recommend?

I'd recommend either Dodo Juice purple haze or blue velvet. Otherwise, get some Collinite 476S and save a few quid. smile

waxes are split into two types

1) natural wax
2) sealents (man made)

both are paint protecion coatings (last step protection) or LSP's .

a little guide to the differences

http://kdskeltec.co.uk/waxing.phtml

in general , sealents are longer lasting but i find slightly tricky for public to use with different weather conditions where as waxes are easier to use (wipe on and buff off) dodo juice a colour charged natural wax in your price range too.

so do you want to wax your car once every month or two (and enjoy doing so) or lasy mans way get the longest out of a coating possible , if so then Zanio (sealent) range is again in your price.

another vote for dodo juice blue velvet...should look deep and glossy on that colour and smells gorgeous too which is a definite bonus

Paint colour is immaterial for which wax you should use.
For the sort of spend you've mentioned, I'd look at www.carnaubawaxshop.co.uk/shop/viewproduct.php?pro..., but don't forget to allow for a couple of microfiber cloths to buff it with.
If you really feel like going to town, include the Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite, and an applicator, to add a touch more drama to the appearance - this goes on before the wax.

For your budget, I'd recommend the following products:

Zaino Z-2 if your paint is flawless and scratch-free, otherwise get Z-5.
Zaino ZFX Accelerator Additive

This adds up to a few pounds under £40. If you can up your budget to about £45 then I would strongly recommend:

Zaino Z-6 gloss Enhancer as well.

The top two products will last you years and will yield very very good durability indeed.

These are sealants by the way and not wax but in essence both aim to do the same thing...
