I wonder if anyone has advice about whether I should stay with my Swiss Wax `best of show` wax or if there is another wax that will give me the same, or better results?
I have been using `best of show` for over 3 years and the bottom of the tub is just about visible, so time to restock is looming!
I have absolutely no complaints about the results it achieves, always gets coments and compliments ( even from the pro`s who attend to various neighbours vehicles) but I just wonder if there is a wax that will produce the same or better for a more reasonable cost?
Thanks in anticipation

Could look at Dodo Juice's Supernatural, Valentine's Concours, or Raceglaze 55 - all a fair bit less than Swissvax BoS.

Valentines concours leave a rich lustre not glossy plus great water sheeting,
victoria wax does not got much air time but it is a very good wax indeed.

Not much fussed on the Vics - nice on reds from what I've read, but I found it far too soft to apply by applicator, and I don't do bare hands!

Now forget them im an authorised swissvax detailer, but best of show, in my opinion, does have the edge over the other waxes. For me, its pound for pound, the best wax in the world.

There are better waxes, such as divine, royale, vintage, but your going to be paying alot for those.

At the end of the day, its all in the prep. You could have the best wax out there, but if your car is swirl'd to hell, its not going to look great.

But in answer to your question, yes, go and order another tub of best of show.

after advice from Dom (dodojuice) I hunted for some AutoGlymv HD and associated bits needed where I live but no luck frown

but wierdly came across a SwissVax dealer, used to get my Maserati SwissVaxed by a guy in Bournemouth and it was way better than Zymol (lasted longer)

Ended up with one of their kits which included; med cleanser, cleanser fluid, Onyx wax, polishing clothes, added some Saphir wax and body shampoo, £145 all in thumbup

used the Onyx yesterday on the bootlid (after respraying the front) swirls completely gone and was easy to apply, I'd say stick with what you know if your happy it seems to be one of the products at the top through my experience, you know it well and its not much more than the competition.

st for me is I had to drive to the st hole that Monaco is to get it, drive there is nice though cool

They do, but best of show is better than them.

A big Thank You to all of you for your input. I bit the bullet and decided to stay with the Swiss wax. It really can`t be faulted on performance, its just dammed expensive!
So, $60,000 question is now, where am I best to buy from? I tried to contact the people I bought from previously but they are no longer on the planet it seems, shame!frown

Why not buy it directly from the supplier. Probably the cheapest option.

Yes, thats the solution. But I always like to try and give a local or smaller business a turn if its reasonably practical.

Am not sure if this is actually available OTC, most of these specialist products are now only sold via the web. Cheaper.
