TVR Tamora Detailed
Discussion
I added myself to the long list of happy Gleaming Kleen (www.gleamingkleen.co.uk) customers by having my recently acquired Tamora "done". I couldn't be happier with the results, truly better than when it left the factory
Here are the pics together with Jay from GK's description of what was done:
First up was to foam the car with AG Powermax 3 and worked into all badges, gaps etc with a brush which was then pressure rinsed off then

I cleaned the convertible top with 303 fabric cleaner which was worked in with a brush and rinsed off at a distance with low pressure

Vehicle washed with Megs Hyper Wash and then paint and glass clayed with Sonus SFX then pressure rinsed off before drying with plush drying towels

Wheels removed and cleaned with Epsuma whhel revolution with selection of brushes and mitts, tar deposits were removed wth AS Tardis and then clayed before a coat of Blackfire All metal Sealant was applied. Few blemishes on wheel faces were polished out using Menz 203s and a 4in polishing pad. Tyres dressed with Swissvax Pneu

Wheel arches cleaned with AG Powermax 3, AS Tardis and selection of brushes

Roof was dry by this time so first coat was sprayed on

Paint levels were taken with Posi 200, paint coorection was carried out using Menz 3.02. Few area's on bonnet required 3m FCP to fully remove some micro marring from a DA sander

Paint refined using Megs 205

Few coats of Swissvax Divine applied over 2 days

Rear plastic screen polished with Swissvax Clear Vinyl by DA and then Swissvax Plastic Wax applied. All glass polished with Jeffs Strong

Leather cleaned and protected with LTT products. The plastic Back of seats were covered in water marks which was removed with Swissvax cleaner fluid and then a coat of Swissvax Oynx was applied. All seals treated with Swissvax Seal Feed

Once all this complete wheels recieved another coat of Blackfire metal sealant and tyres treated to another coat of Swissvax Pneu. Exhausts polished with Briliant metal polsihes and sealed with Blackfire metal Sealant. Final wipedown with Swissvax Quick Finish
Few finished shots

A two day full correction detail, expect not much change from £400-500, depending on the number of hours needed to correct the paint, and clean everything else.
If you feel you've got the basics down pat, and just need the paint corrected itself, then you're looking at around £35-40 per hour.
Those are rough ballparks, not definitive, and some charge more due to higher overheads to maintain - namely a commercial unit rather than just a mobile van to work out of.

Nice turn around from jay If you feel you've got the basics down pat, and just need the paint corrected itself, then you're looking at around £35-40 per hour.

Some charge by the hour some by the job .
I have a new comprehensive price guide explaining whats involved with each detail package how many hours and prices

This should clear up what the differences between types of services that all detailers offer
