Today it seems my car was singled out by every seagull in plymouth, What a freakin mess, after pressure washing & a good soapy wash the roof & bonnet show 'burns' from the droppings.

Can this damaged paint be brought back to life or is it terminal?

It will require a decent amount of machine polishing to really remove the etching. removal by hand is nearly impossible. Do you have a PC or any experience with a rotary. If the answer is no I would suggest getting a professional detailer to pop over and do the job for you. Money well spent!

Thanks for input guys.

I have a Polisher & seem to have learnt a lot from my mistakes, but I'm always unsure of what products to use?, I guess I'll just start with polish before the Farecla comes out!.

The stain was only there for 5-6 hrs so I don't think it has gone 'Too far".

You'd be surprised how much damage certain bird bombs can inflict in a short space of time!
Not all are as aggressive - depends on the diet of the birds, and their internal juices.
Always, always have a trigger bottles of quick detailer and water, and a large soft microfiber cloth in the car, for immediate treatment after their bombing raids.
Use the least aggressive combo of pad and polish first to see how it tackles the etchings, before stepping up to a firmer pad, then abrasive level if needed.
