Guys,

How do you get the rubber marble 'skid' marks off PaintShield type bonnet cover products? They come off the roof and other not covered areas, but the Zymol shampoo doesn't get them off the vinyl.

I don't wat to rub for fear of scratching the vinyl....

Help please!!

Cheers

Pete

Try rubbing the marks with neat shampoo first, using a microfibre cloth, before moving on to harsher chemicals like tar & glue remover, or IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol).

Meant to include washing-up liquid as well, if neat shampoo doesn't do it.
Rinse very well afterwards, and if you need to go to IPA/T&G, wash with shampoo solution once you're done.

Thinners on a microfibre should be sufficient to remove the random marks followed by a wash down with your usual shampoo.

Just to close this off.

Got Rob at Supercar Detailing to sort the issue. A mixture of Tardis and the polish got zee barstuards off. Some scars on the Paintshield, but hey, it does it's job! Went through a shower of stones on track at Spa so really pleased with the PS protective properties.

autoglym tar remove is it called? use that neat comes off immediately, rinse well with water after and rewax these areas, try not to apply to the edges of the paintshield
