I've always appreciated but, am new to detailing until I got my current car. Over the last few weeks I have been polishing the car to build a nice layer of polish and therefore shine and protection. All good, and am also getting a nice little collection of products to keep my car immaculate with whilst reading up on methods etc.

Anyway. It's just started raining quite heavily here in Nottingham and to the cry of 'geek' from Mrs Fun Bus I had the urge to see what the beading was like on my car while it was raining.

I'm not the only one who gets a buzz from this am I?!

Sorry it's just you, please see the therapist immediately.

I had the same problem fortunately 2 kids later I'm cured, I just cry on the inside when the cars are "dirty".

You ain't got the true bug until you've got polishe's , glaze's ,sealer's ,wax's and detailing spray's . Spent a fortune on rotary polisher's and DA polisher's ,
bought a gazebo so you wash and polish in all weather's and got a air blower to blow out water from bonnet /boot /door / mirror's so you don't get drip's .

Got home about 6.30am from work this morning after it'd been raining overnight to be greeted by my freshly washed, polished and sealed Elise on my driveway with loads of beading all over it. Spent a couple of minutes joining some of those beads with a fingertip and watched as they flowed down the flanks of the bodywork.....

When you spend six hours machine polishing your car, then glazing and waxing the paintwork, on a Sunday is when you have a problem. The results make the car too good to drive!!!!

Before I started detailing for a living, I would see families go out for the day as I started cleaning the car and would see the same people coming back as I was just finishing off, all by hand then. That's when you know you have the bug.
