A pillar dent

A friend of mine has just sustained some damage to his BMW E46. A piece of wood dropped on it and dented the A pillar, about halfway up. It's about half an inch deep.

Any thoughts - big or small job to fix? Can it be pulled out or need filling? Also, can anyone recommend a bodyshop in the Heathrow area?
