Did a fairly thorough wash/polish/wax on Saturday and parked under a tree today and ended up with a couple of spots of bird st on the car.

What's the best way to wash a "bit" of a car without doing the whole damn thing? I have always found Megs Quik Detailer to dry really messily, so I just damped it down with wet kitchen towel and soaked it off.

Is there a better way of doing it? (not getting off bird st, just cleaning a bit of a car so that it doesn't stand out).

Of course, the car has a few days worth of pollen on it so I will probably end up washing again, but for future reference!

There are many better quick detailers out there. I like Clearkote QD.

I tend to use sponge and water on the bit needing a wash (for me it is often fuel splashes around the petrol cap) and then use the Meguiars Quick Detailer to buff up the bit I did.

Works for me.
