If you have access to a dual action polisher (ie a G220) yes. All you need to do is to polish the paintwork carefully using a variety of foam pads and the correct polishes...then apply a couple of coats of wax.

Bad machine technique leaves holograms.

Not just technique - pad/polish combo are the cause too.
It's for that reason you use a soft pad and a fine polish to refine the polishing process.
Most valeters will use just the coarser polish, and then mask the holograming with a filler-heavy wax/sealant.
Only when the protection is washed off or degrades over time, do the holograms make their presence known.
