I've just been to my local wheel refurbishment company, and they have quoted me a day to refurb my wheels. This includes;

  • Acid Bath
  • Blast Cleaning
  • Repairing the damaged surfaces
  • Pre-heating
  • Primer
  • Application of colour
  • Final coat
Forgive me as i don't know too much about wheel refurbing, but surely this is too much for one day? confused

Does £55+VAT per wheel sound like a good deal for all this?

Cheers

Two days sounds better with an acid dip overnight. The painting and drying is quite simple but the preparation work is not so swift.

Depending upon where you are £55 plus VAT is at the lower end of pricing....have you sen any of their work and do you know anybody who has used them recently?

That price is down here in the South East, so quite good then considering.

I saw some of the wheels today, and they seemed pretty good, but i didn't see the wheels previously...unfortunately i don't know anyone that has had their wheels done with this company. All other ones that have been recommended to me are AGES away.

Paint finish seemed good though. I may ask for the wheels to be acid bathed over night, then wait for them to tell me to Foxtrot Oscar wink

That is a very reasonable price. I have just had some Lexus wheels done at £75 plus VAT and know most charge in excess of £65 per wheel across Herts and around the M25 for a decent job.

Thats about right.

We charge £65 per wheel for single piece wheels but its a 2 day turnaround.

Price seems a little high compared to our pricing, but you haven't stated size and colour of your wheel so could be wrong. And not all wheels need 24 hour dipping as long as as all the paint/powder is stripped it's all good.
