Delivery lorry reversed into my 325i and left a small 6-8 cm dent on the front bumper resulting in the plastic being reshaped i.e a dent at the front and swelling at the side. Anyone know how the bodyshop will fix this? I'm hoping for a completely new bumper but somehow doubt it.

Thanks

could heat it up with a hot air gun and if you can gain access from the rear push it out

Probably an easy repair, but bodyshops prefer to fit new ones.

This is a standard repair for a SMART technician. A combination of heating & appropriate filling is usually all it needs. Bodyshops simply don't like to do this repair as they are set up for larger repairs, hence the new bumper. We do these all the time - in fact, I'm working on a Focus with a ripped bumper at this moment!

Cheers
