im sure someone on here has done it,but was it problematic??
im seriously thinking about it whilst im at this stage of the restoration, and driving it this summer,it needs a sunroof but i only like the steel ones.
unfortuately it will not be from a sunroof from factory, more like i want to fit a second hand one from another motor..
also i cannot use those typical electric windows kit,not universal for my old thing,is there another way to go,
this is for my 1970 rover p5 coupe

Were they ever supplied with electric windows as an option when new? I presume not. there must be some universal regulator kit out there that would work (for the windows) ...

Same for the central locking. As for the sunroof - what car would it come from - would have to be one with a simialr curve on the roofline. What car do you have in mind? Steel I presume you mean as opposed to a webasto etc.

Have a look at mk2 or 3 capris for the sunroof, you will need to cut out and replace most of the roof tho....not a job for the faint hearted or inexperienced !

Yes after £430 of second hand electric window motors from ebay I still have not found anything that will go near the p5 coupe front door.
