Painting my new boot lid (virgin)
Discussion
Hi folks,
I have a new panel for my car which I need to spray. It’s a brand new boot lid and its in Rover Tahiti Blue. I have done 'some' painting a few years ago and more recently on airraft but nothing which would need the level of finish which I want on my own car.
I have a garage, its warm and dry. I will get a couple of heaters in there to heat it up nicely before I start painting and I am happy that its well ventilated. I have a good compressor with water trap and a good mask. I am going to buy a new gun.
What sort of paint should I use? What do I need for new panels? I should be easier than going on to a used panel, right? Does anyone have a simple guide I can glance at?
Thanks all.
