Technically i know this isnt the right forum, however thought id give it a shot.

I have brought a BMW 530i as a "project" which is turning more into a money pit. However thats another story.

One of the many things i want to do is try and get the leather back. Its worn and creased on the drivers seat, lost some of its shape, the arm rest has started to loose colour, along with the door handle.

Can it be done without spending a fortune on new door cards/seat covers etc - its individual champagne, so cant afford to buy new seat covers and door cards. Would new foam help the drivers seat?

Just looking for advice on whats worked for anyone else, ive heard it can be painted? Is it durable?

Cheers
Rob

Have a look here:

I've used products from a company called Furniture clinic and the results are amazing, i highly recommend them.

Hi, Yes that seat can be repaired. With modern leathers, a pigment is applied and is just as durable as when the leather left the tannery. As for the foam, it may well need replacing.

Cheers,

Michael.
