I just have a few pretty basic questions

How do you fully clean the inside of box sections on a car prior to rust proofing?

Also how do you know when the car is fully dry and free from moisture, again are the box sections fully dry?

thankyou

Hi There

I use the Valvoline Tectyl range of products for rustproofing. Look them up. Top of the pile IMHO. When doing box sections use a hot air paint gun (with care!) or very powerful hair dryer to warm the exterior of the section (sill for example) and also blow the hot air into the box section through any holes on order to move the cold damp air inside out. With a bit of care you can get most sections nice and warm. You can then inject away. This is best not done on a freezing day.

Tectyl ML is the one for box sections BTW.

thanks for that, never thought about gently warming the box section up
