Hi All
I bought a gallon of what he called "non acid" from a detailer a couple of years ago.
It is something to spray on the areas of the car with heavy soiling, wheels for example, before jetwashing off and washing. It was very good, could be used on the body and glass and was more effective on wheels than Megs Wheel Brightener.
It was used diluted at 4:1 and it smelled a bit caustic. Stung like hell if the stuff got in my eyes.
It was in an unmarked blue plastic can.
Does anyone know what I am referring to please?
Sounds like TFR (traffic film remover), which are all highly alkaline (caustic), and can be as detrimental to alloys and paint (over time with continual use at high conc) as acidic cleaners can.
Some litmus paper in your solution would give you an indication of pH value, and the same in the neat product.
