I had the bonnet on my Rs painted satin black and didnt realise I could anything to look after it without making it shiny, so keeping it clean is a bit of a nightmare as it shows every fingerprint and mark.

Spoke to Matty @ Mercury Detailing who said he could wax & protect with a separate range of products while not making it shiny.Had the whole car detailed which made it look superb.
Check out the video of the water sheeting off the matt finish,It just used to soak water up.
Very impressed.

Love these, see plenty marshalling club rallies. Escorts are always better to watch than the newer, quicker group n imprezza's n evo's.

I would guess he's gone for the rally look when cars would have a satin paint on the bonnet to stop sun glare.

The main reason for the satin is, the bonnets fiberglass.. the satin was going to be tempory untill i had the money to have done in colour but i liked it!smile
