Worn alacantra, any remedy?

Giving the car it's bi-annual clean this weekend The drivers seat side bolster is looking pretty worn and bobbly from 8 years of entry and exit. Can anything be done to tidy it up a little? Was pondering gently running a safety razor over the roughest patches but don't want to end up with it looking worse than it already is...
