Lister MKIII 6 speed supercharged!
Discussion
Firstly hello, A chap I work with (he's in his 60's and doesn't do computers) has A very rare lister MKIII that he's decided to sell, he's no idea of the current market value, he's had it years... it's pristine and one of a good few "nice" cars he own's. I'll take some photo's for him/you all to see next week. But I was just wondering if there are any enthusiasts/collectors on here. This cars believed to be only 1 of 5 made with 6 speed box and supercharger (600bhp area) it's a monster of a thing.
if anyone knows a more appropriate place for me to post this gimme a shout
regards

Years ago I always hankered after the idea of a lister jag. There was one for sale for ages near winchmore hill at a range rover dealer from memory. I'm sure it was dark blue. I had a 1989 XJS V12 back then with the factory fitted sports suspension from the 3.6. A stunning car, mid metallic grey with light grey leather and beautiful wood. Mint, used to take 2 hours to clean those bloody lattice alloys properly. My missus used to say it looked like a shark coming down the road. But one of the worst handling cars I have ever owned.
Maybe the tyres of that time back then but when it went sideways it took forever to regain its composure.
One night coming back from seeing my mate who lived near winchmore hill I'm coming down the last stretch of the A1 to mill hill at 0.9 leptons and a fox runs across the road in front of me. I hit the brakes, I am an animal lover after all and the bloody thing slews sideways. Took at least half a mile to get the arse end back in line. Not a tank slapper just the correct amount of opposite lock applied and the bloody thing would not comply. I just kept thinking I have written my XJS off to save the life of a fox. In truth one of the most beautiful cars I have ever owned but also one of the worst.
