Look like they are interior lights from a 60's Jag/Rover/Humber etc.

OK this might help, they were used on the Ford GT40 in the 1960s. However Ford used all sort of parts on the cars from such as jag/rover interior mirror etc. Have google image searched for a few cars but not found a match

Possibly old Lucas parts? They look slightly "parts bin" so may well be on various other cars as numberplate lights or interior lights.

I did think Lucas as they used a Lucas rear view mirror in the GT40 but I can't seem to find anything that matches. Would really appreciate any more help on this one

Thanks

sorry I missed off the question mark - Ford?

doesn't look at all BMC to me

perhaps you need to widen your net, if you've not already done so you could also try asking in the other PH forums - General Motorsport, Ford, USA & Canada

or GT40 or GT40 kit forums

or where you sourced the photos

good luck with your search

I've asked the guy who owns these on the GT40s forum what car they are from but he won't say. I think they are getting a bit slim on the ground hence why I've tried on here. So far I've tried searching for images of interior/courtesy/number plate lights for:

Ford
Rover
Triumph
Humber
Lucas
Jaguar

Nothing I've seen in any pictures has come close. Really tricky one this

I've no idea what they're from. When you mention GT40's forum did you mean www.gt40s.com?
What replica are you building, scratchbuild/Tornado or what?
Cheers

Damn, just got an email saying someone had posted a reply and got excited that someone might have identified the part.

Yeah gt40s.com is the forum I was referring to. I am building a Tornado with a few custom and original parts. You can see my build log here:

Very nice build Trev. I post a bit on GT40, user name Argonaut. A GT40 is a dream car for me, currently I have a BMW 850Ci - nice car but a Gran Tourer and not a sports car, a GT40 is what I really want :-)
Keep up the good work,
Jason
