Just had a letter through re one of my diesel vehicles saying that from Jan 12 this Friggin Gov will be charging me £100 Quid per day if I dare venture within the M25......

This is going to crucify me....I am also expecting letters re my Tow Car Discovery and a light truck that I run for another business. My valuable assets are now going to be worthless and almost unsalable .
Any one know more about this ?

There is more to the uk than just london.

Try selling your vehicles somewhere else away from the lez.

So, what they are saying is that if you have a 4x4 between 1.205 and 3.5 tons then you're screwed?

Hmmmm rolleyes
1.205 seems an odd choice? idea does someone in charge own a 4x4 that weights in at 1.2 tons and doesn't want to pay?

Maybe you just need a bigger 4x4. It its over 3.5tons your in the clear silly

Thats like the letter I got from the Minister saying it was illegal for me to carry my kids in the car with a seat belt but OK for me to remove the seat belts and then carry them. nuts

No. Most 4x4's are not affected by the LEZ. Most of the vehicles that are affected by the LEZ are 2WD.

OP; it's quite unlikely your discovery will be affected, unless it's one of the rare commercial versions. Does it have rear doors/windows? If so it's almost certainly not affected.

To tell for sure there is a registration plate checked somewhere, but basically if your car is not registered as a commercial vehicle it will not be affected. If it is a commercial vehicle it may be affected.

Well he's wrong on the Disco, it's only commercial vehicles that are liable for the charge. I'm fairly sure you'll need to move the LDV and Fiat on to someone outside of London. It's not news though, it's been looming forever and they've not kept it quiet.
